I teach ukulele lessons at my studio in Davis in addition to guitar lessons and banjo lessons. If you are interested in learning to play the ukulele or would like any recommendations on purchasing a ukulele, feel free to contact me.
Why Ukulele Lessons?
Ukulele is easy!
Ukulele is an awesome beginner instrument, especially for young kids and people with smaller hands. Since it’s a much smaller instrument, chords are much easier to reach. Also, the nylon strings of the ukulele are nice for beginners, and don’t hurt when pressing them down.
Plus it’s only 4 strings, as opposed to the 6 in guitar, which makes the chords much easier to learn!
For children under 10 years old that are considering guitar, I would definitely recommend starting with the ukulele first and then moving on to guitar once they feel comfortable playing a stringed instrument.
All in all, ukulele lessons are a great way to build confidence in your musical abilities, whether you want to become a master of the ukulele or move on to other stringed instruments once you get a basic understanding.
Ukulele is fun!
Ukulele is one of my favorite instruments. There’s nothing that’s quite like that island sound that brings peace and relaxation into your world through music.
Even just after a few lessons and a bit of practice, you can get it to sound pretty good! Plus who wouldn’t want to be able to play a song like this 🙂
Ukulele is awesome whether you’re sitting around the campfire, chillin’ on the beach, or just relaxing at your home and adds a positive vibe to any jam session.
And plus, a small ukulele is super light and you can carry it in your backpack. My ukulele and I have traveled many miles together 🙂
