For those who want to learn how to play together.
Our group Circles program for teens (13-17) and tweens (9-12) are designed to both advance social musical skills and to help kids and families form friendships and community by way of playing music together. Students are grouped together based on age, like musical interest, and on having several different instruments that are compatible in an ensemble, not all being on the same instruments.
Our Teens and ‘tweens Circles program are focused on “room sound”—electric instruments are allowed but we are not trying to blow anyone’s ears out, and the sound will be balanced between each instrument. All instruments are welcome.
This program is meant for students who have at least a basic proficiency on their instrument, all the way through intermediate and advanced students. If you aren’t sure, we can chat about it to see if it’s a good fit.
If you have a teen or ‘tween that is potentially interested in the program, please contact me and we can talk it over. If you are ready to apply, you can fill out the Circles Program Application here.
