Please note, I have a sensitivity to fragrances (perfume, cologne, etc) so I appreciate folks waiting until after their lesson to apply any of these products.
Private Lessons
Students who book monthly private lessons or participate in group programs get a dedicated spot in my calendar. Payment for private lessons is made in advance for the month, and due on the first lesson of the month. Missed lessons or sessions are not refundable, though instructor will make best effort to reschedule during the same week if possible, but not a guarantee.
If students are sick or otherwise cannot attend in-person, distance learning (Zoom) options are available.
Sometimes students get a 5th lesson in a month which usually makes things even with regard to extra lessons & cancellations/missed lessons. If instructor needs to cancel, we will arrange for a make-up lesson or lesson credit in the following month.
Individual private lessons can be scheduled on a week-to-week basis; cancellations for weekly lessons must be made 24 hours in advance, or full payment for the session is required.
12-Week Learn to Jam Journey
Payment for the full 12-week course is due in advance, unless we’ve agreed on a payment plan (monthly or other). Missed sessions are not refundable and cannot be rescheduled, but you will have access to both the prep lesson videos as well as a recording from the live group session for week for your review and ongoing study (note: recording may be from a different group than your own, but will cover the same material).
If instructor needs to cancel, we will arrange for a make-up session.
Requests for refunds or discontinuing payments and discontinuing participation in the 12-week journey, after the program has started are not guaranteed and are handled on a case-by-case basis. Signing up for the program is a commitment to paying for the full 12-week program whether or not it is completed or attended, whether on a payment plan or having paid in full.
Circles Program
Circles is an ongoing membership-based learning community. Members may participate either with or without private lessons, depending on their selected membership option.
Membership fees reserve your place in the program and, where applicable, a recurring private lesson time. Membership supports the continuity of the group experience and is not based solely on attendance at a specific number of sessions. For this reason, missed sessions are not refundable or credited, and membership is not paused or extended for vacations, travel, or other scheduling conflicts.
Membership fees are due quarterly on January 1, April 1, July 1, and October 1 unless an alternative payment plan has been arranged. Members joining during a quarter will be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the current quarter.
Missed group sessions are not refundable and cannot be rescheduled.
Members with private lessons are assigned a recurring lesson time. Missed private lessons are not refundable. When scheduling permits, the instructor will make a reasonable effort to offer a make-up lesson, but make-up lessons are not guaranteed.
If the instructor must cancel a group session or private lesson, a make-up session or alternative arrangement will be provided.
Upon acceptance into the Circles Program, participants enter a 30-day provisional membership period. After this period, continued participation is subject to mutual agreement between the member and instructor.
Members wishing to discontinue their Circles membership must provide at least 15 days’ written notice prior to their next scheduled payment date.
Membership fees are non-refundable once a payment period has begun.
While the policies above help us maintain a stable and supportive learning community, we understand that life happens. If an unexpected hardship or emergency arises, please reach out. We strive to work with members compassionately and reasonably whenever possible.
