I’ve been teaching keyboard lessons for the last 10 years in Davis! It’s one of my main instruments to both play, teach, and perform! I have the same focus in teaching piano lessons as I do with guitar, ukulele, or any other instrument which is to be able to play and have fun, learn your favorite pieces, learn how to do songwriting and jam out.
What kind of styles do you teach in your keyboard/piano lessons?
All styles are welcome! My teaching style is definitely geared more toward rock, jazz, blues, pop, and pretty much any style besides classical but we bring in the best elements of classical education to teach you good form, practice exercises, while (as always), making sure it’s fun, inspiring, and relevant to the music that you want to play and like to play.
Some of my piano/keyboard students have gone on to play in bands and write their own music. Some of them like to play multiple instruments.
I teach piano and keyboard in a way that’s accessible for all ages and will train your ear to be able to play anything you want!
