I teach guitar lessons at my studio in Davis, California and online to beginners, intermediate, and advanced/professional students. While I teach all instruments, guitar was my first musical love and the instrument that I chose to invest most of my own studies in.
I teach both electric and acoustic guitar and I am comfortable teaching all styles and skill levels.
Guitar is such a versatile instrument and a great choice for children and adults alike to start on. My guitar lessons start with the basics and make it fun and engaging so you’re able to start playing a song that you enjoy, usually on the first lesson, much to many of my students’ surprise!
I have played guitar professionally as a solo artist and with local bands and I’ve worked with many musicians of all ages to learn to play guitar, level up, and help develop the love for music.
For kids younger than 6, I recommend starting on the ukulele. For other younger kids, I recommend starting with a half-size guitar or a 3/4-size guitar (3/4 size also for smaller adults, adults with smaller hands).
