About

Music is for everyone. It’s not just for the select few that have some special gifts and talents.

My name is David Abramson, and I help people learn the language of music and to discover and nurture their inner-musician. PlayReady Music is not just about musical proficiency, but about community and belonging, and what brings us together as families in times of good and bad.

Over the past 15 years, I’ve worked with hundreds of people of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels — working with them to be able to confidently play music, and have music be a meaningful part of their lives. I can’t remember a single student who came into the studio who stuck with it and wasn’t able to get it.

Most of my students go on to playing music with others, and jamming with friends and peers, finding a fluency with music that carries them into many different musical settings and possibilities in life.

The problem with musical learning is that most people don’t know where to begin, are navigating disjointed learning methods or learning methods that don’t match their musical tastes and interests.

PlayReady Music’s learning method teaches you to play the music you love and enjoy, play what you hear, play the music that you feel in your bones, develop a sound musical understanding, fluency, and proficiency on your instrument, and be able to connect with other musicians in community and song.

If you’re reading this, you or a friend or family member are likely wanting to take the next step in your musical learning journey, and are looking for a qualified and aligned teacher that can help you bridge the gap.

Whether you want to learn a new instrument, play your favorite songs, be able to write your own, play with friends and family, start a band, or improve your skills and horizons on your instrument, I would love to hear more about what it is you want to learn.

If this sounds like your type of learning environment, contact me and let me know what you’re looking to learn, and we can see if it’s the right fit to work together (it usually is 😉).
